Goldens are very active & loving dogs that require frequent if not daily exercise!! If they aren't getting an adequate amount of exercise they will have an abundance of energy and possibly act out due to boredom or stress!! Acting out can be excessive chewing or jumping/tackling people for attention. 

Grooming is essential for Goldens!! They have a thick water repellent double coat that moderately sheds throughout the year. During fall and Spring they shed more to prepare for the new seasons!! When you groom your Golden be sure to have proper tools like a slicker brush or undercoat rake!! It's recommended to do it 2-3xs a week before and after a bath. When bathing use appropriate shampoos that will not strip their coats essential oils!!! 

A big recommendation is to set a schedule for your Golden. They are notoriously know to be great at having a routine!! This being said training will be a piece of cake when your pup knows its time for business!!
